Stout Beer Chocolate Shooters

Products Used

Dark Liqueur Cup
Dark Wing
Green and Ivory Duo Chocolattos Mini


    7 grams         Unflavored Powder Gelatin

    180 grams     Goose Island Bourbon County Stout

    160 grams     Boiling Water

    60 grams        Milk


    Decorated Liqueur Cups 

    1. Set out the Mona Lisa Dark Chocolate Liqueur Cups.
    2. The dark cup pairs well with the Goose Island Bourbon Stout!
    3. Pop out a dark wing decoration from its tray. With a hot ring cutter, cut to create a handle for the beer mug.
    4. While still warm from cutting, adhere the wing to the liqueur cup.  Set aside. 


    Beer Shot Recipe

    1. Bloom the gelatin in the cold Stout beer.  
    2. Pour the boiling water over the beer/gelatin mixture.  
    3. Whisk to make sure all of the gelatin is melted.
    4. Pour through a strainer into a small cup.  
    5. Make sure the liquid is not hotter than 31 degrees C.
    6. Pour mixture into the Dark Liqueur Cups.  
    7. The Liqueur Cup holds 10 grams. 
    8. Leave a little room at the top of the cup for the foam.  
    9. Let the cup set up for at least 30 minutes.
    10. Take 60 grams of milk and put 1 tablespoon of beer into the milk to color. 
    11. When you are ready to serve to your guests, pour the milk into a frother and spoon the cooled beer foam over the top of the cups.
    12. Cup holds approximately 1-2 grams of foam.  
    13. Place Chocolatto or other chocolate decoration into foam.
    14. Pass them out, toast and enjoy!
